McKinney, TX (September 10, 2015) – Habitat for Humanity of North Collin County (NCC Habitat) begins construction on their 100th Home with a Wall Raising Ceremony and Home Framing Build Day. This ceremony will officially kick-off the construction of the home located in Celina, TX which is being called The Purple House Project, as purple is the official color for 100.
Future Homeowner, Lisa Camacho and her family will be introduced and hammer the first nail in the frame of the house as the walls are officially raised. On hand will be Mayor Sean Terry of Celina, Celina City Manager Mike Foreman, and some of our many generous Home Sponsors including Denbury, American Legend Homes, Green Brick Partners, K Hovnanian, Intuit, Step-Up Realty, 1st United Methodist Church of Celina, and Grace Avenue United Methodist Church.

About Habitat for Humanity of North Collin County
North Collin County Habitat for Humanity (NCC Habitat) is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles. We are worldwide. We encourage positive relationships throughout the community by advocating for fair housing policies and by providing training to help families improve their shelter conditions.

NCC Habitat was incorporated in 1992. We enable families throughout northern Collin County (Anna, Blueridge, Celina, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Melissa, Princeton, Prosper, Westminster, and Weston) to achieve the dream of home ownership and dignity. With the help of partnerships, NCC Habitat has built over 97 houses. We also have started a new program called “A Brush With Kindness” where we help low income families with exterior repairs including roof, siding, paint and general clean up. We’ve served 81 families through this program (mostly seniors). Internationally, NCC Habitat has built 34 homes in Mexico, Egypt, Asia Tsunami & Honduras. Habitat also operates a ReStore that is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday. We sell new and gently used building materials and furniture to the public.
